Sinya on Lone Man Creek

Inspired by a life-changing journey to Africa, Sinya is a secluded and luxurious retreat for two located atop a ridge overlooking Lone Man Creek in Texas Hill Country.

The structure of Sinya is an authentic, custom-designed safari tent from South Africa and embodies the resilient spirit of its namesake, an orphaned baby elephant rescued by the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in southeastern Kenya.

In 2009, Lynn Gallimore brought a little piece of Africa to Wimberley, Texas following a trip to Tanzania. Soon after, Sinya was opened to guests and “the magic of Sinya” was shared.  Sinya is a hidden gem. Since then, it has evolved into an exclusive, highly sought-after retreat and now under the ownership of Susan Weems Smith.

Sinya is about the experience and creating meaningful memories. It is a sanctuary where you can find peace within yourself and revive your spirit. You can simply relax all day in its quiet seclusion or choose activities like fishing, kayaking, and bird watching from the hammock on the veranda or a refreshing dip in one of the local swimming holes, such as Wimberley's famous Blue Hole. Or, visit the quaint town of Wimberley known for its great shopping and wonderful restaurants, wineries, breweries, and distilleries.

My wish is that you, too, experience “The Magic of Sinya”.
